Dingdong Dantes presents MIFF Lifetime Achievement Award to Boots Anson-Rodrigo

Dingdong Dantes presented the Monty Manibog Lifetime Achievement Award to veteran actress Boots Anson-Rodrigo at the Manila International Film Festival 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

On Instagram, the Kapuso actor shared some snaps of him at the MIFF stage as well as a photo of Anson-Rodrigo receiving her award.

"Last night, I had the distinct honor of presenting the Monty Manibog Lifetime Achievement Award to my former professor turned industry pillar, Boots Anson-Rodrigo," Dingdong wrote.

"She's been a leading lady on screen, but her biggest role has been behind the scenes—championing the welfare of our industry for over 25 years at MOWELFUND, where I now have the privilege of working alongside her," he added. "She's proof that true icons don't just shine in the spotlight—they use it to uplift others."

With a career spanning over 50 years, Anson-Rodrigo was known for her role in the "Mano Po" series, and several horror films. She also bagged numerous awards such as Lifetime Achievement Awards from Star Awards and FAMAS in 2001 and 2003 respectively.

Meanwhile, Dingdong was among the Kapuso stars present at MIFF alongside Ruru Madrid and Sofia Pablo.
