Rhian Ramos learned how to play drums for 'Sinagtala'
Rhian Ramos said she had to learn how to play drums for her role in upcoming film "Sinagtala," which also stars Glaiza De Castro, Rayver Cruz, Matt Lozano, and Arci Muñoz.
In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," the cast shared some of their realizations while working on the project.
For Rhian, having to learn a musical instrument led to a reflection on her craft as an actress.
"In a sense na parang finding yourself again, 'yung nahahanap mo ulit 'yung center mo dun sa passion at pagmamahal mo dun sa ginagawa mo, just realizing how lucky you are to just get to do your craft," she said.
Arci, meanwhile, shared that she was inspired by BTS member Suga for her role.
"Kasi si Suga 'yung pinaka very, parang feeling ko, strong 'yung personality. Tapos medyo ano kasi si Suga, tahimik," she said.
Glaiza learned that her character as Paola is close to her real-life personality.
"'Pag pinaguusapan 'yung music kasi, very ano 'yun sakin, significant and para sa 'kin, gift talaga ni Lord 'yun sa 'kin, sa pamilya ko," she said.
Rayver, who plays the role of Reggie, said that it's a dream come true to portray such a character.
"Hanggang ngayon, sa mga contents ko and contents ko with [Julie Anne San Jose], 'yung mga ginagawa namin, feel na feel ko talaga 'pag tumutugtog ako ng gitara. And finally, dito sa pelikula na 'to, natupad ko 'yung pangarap na 'yon," he said.
Matt likewise said that he relates to his character, Isko.
"First love ko kasi talaga [ang] music. And ngayon, sobrang love na love ko 'yung acting. Napagsama silang dalawa, parang wala nang mas hihigit pa dun sa napakasarap na pakiramdam na 'yon," he said.
"Sinagtala" is coming to cinemas on April 2.
