"Game of Thrones" star Iain Glen has joined the cast of Jerrold Tarog's historical biopic, "Quezon."

According to TBA Studios Monday, the Scottish actor will play the role of Leonard Wood, the United States Army major who served as Governor-General of the Philippines from 1921 to 1927.

Iain had a script reading with the cast and crew of "Quezon" at The Manila Hotel early this 2025.

Per Direk Jerrold, Iain's casting makes "Quezon" "much more alive."

"[Iain Glen] has gravitas. But at the same time, he can let loose, which is important for the role of Leonard Wood," he said via a press release.

TBA Studios President and COO Daphne O. Chiu also expressed her excitement about having Iain join the film's cast.

"This film is shaping up to be one of the biggest productions in Philippine cinema, with one of the largest casts ever assembled. We are excited to share with Iain—and the rest of the world—the production scale and level of artistry that Filipino filmmakers are capable of," she added.

Iain is known for playing the role of Jorah Mormont in HBO's "Game of Thrones," as well as Dr. Alexander Isaacs in "Resident Evil: Apocalypse," "Resident Evil: Extinction," and "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," among others.

"Quezon" is the third installment of TBA Studios' "Bayaniverse," which is preceded by "Heneral Luna" (2015) and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" (2018).

The film follows the life of Quezon, a Filipino lawyer and soldier who became the President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944.

Jericho Rosales will play the role of the late Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon in the film. Mon Confiado will reprise his role as Emilio Aquinaldo, Quezon's political rival, while Benjamin Alves will play a younger version of Quezon.

Its cast also includes Karylle as Quezon's wife, former First Lady Aurora; Romnick Sarmenta as Sergio Osmeña, the first Vice President of the Philippines, JC Santos as Manuel Roxas, and Cris Villanueva as the older Joven Hernando, the lone fictional character in the film series.

"Quezon" is set to premiere this 2025.
