Tim Yap signs contract with Sparkle 

Tim Yap is now a Sparkle talent!

The popular eventologist signed a contract with Sparkle on Tuesday, during which GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle First Vice President Joy Marcelo were present. 

“I've been such a fan of GMA since I was a kid," Tim said. "I would watch the shows. And I'm the seventh of seven. So that alone, seven has been a lucky and magical number for me,” he aded.

“And now that it's the GMA 75th year, I'm so honored and humbled to be back in this building to build new memories with you guys."

The celebrity host also expressed his excitement over working with Sparkle and be instrumental in making new milestones for the network.

“I am excited to live with you guys, to work with you guys, and to find what it is that makes the ordinary extraordinary and for us to really continually embrace the present and make it shine even brighter,” Tim shared.

In her speech, Gozon-Valdes teased acting projects for Tim, who is a popular host as well. 

“I think hindi magiging complete yung character of Tim in the entertainment industry without him also appearing in entertainment shows not just as a host, but also in acting,” she said.

“So that's one of the projects that you can look out for this year. We are going to have Tim in one of our drama shows,” the GMA executive said.

Ending her speech, Gozon-Valdes said she’s very honored that Tim chose to join Sparkle. 

“Tim, thank you very much for trusting us,” she said.

Tim is no stranger to GMA Network where he hosted the talk show “The Tim Yap Show” that aired from 2013 to 2015. 

He also previously served as one of the hosts of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 and appeared in the Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama series “Start Up” in 2022.
