Shan Vesagas admits he owes his career to Esnyr: 'He was the one who paved the way for me'
Shan Vesagas guested in "Unang Hirit" Monday with hosts Suzi Entrata-Abrera and Shaira Diaz where he talked about his friendship with Esnyr while they cooked pork adobo.
Shan is known for appearing in Esnyr's high school series on YouTube with Brent Manalo as the love interests of Esnyr's character, Precious.
According to the "MAKA" star, he and Esnyr were just social media friends when the latter tapped him for his series.
"Nung nagyari na 'yung series, dun po kami naging close talaga and winork out ko 'yung relationship namin as friends syempre kasi po ano eh, I have to admit it na I owe him my career," said Shan.
"He was the one who paved the way for me to even be here in GMA, so 'yun, admitted ko po 'yun, so talagang winork out ko 'yung friendship namin."
He added that he and Esnyr are close and would also bond outside of taping, such as having dinners and watching basketball games together.
Esnyr and Brent are among the housemates in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." In fact, Precious and Brent recently made viewers and housemates kilig when they got back together inside the yellow house.
As to how Shan feels about this, he quipped, "'Di po [pantay] 'yung laban, 'di patas."
He also told Shaira and Suzi that he has not been advised if he will be sent inside Kuya's house.
"Feeling ko po kasi gusto lang, in demand lang because of Brent and Ensyr pero wala pong na-advice sa 'kin na papasok ako sa loob," he said.
Shan also gave Esnyr and Brent a message of support, telling them to stay strong inside the house.
"Sana magpakatatag ka pa diyan sa loob, kayo ni Brent and sana magtuloy-tuloy po 'yung journey niya dito sa PBB kasi alam ko po na dream niya talaga 'to. Sinabi niya po yan, isa yan sa what ifs niya."
During GMA Network's Thanksgiving party, Shan had expressed his hope for Precious' endgame to be him.
"Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" airs weekdays on GMA Network at 10 p.m. and weekends at 6:15 p.m.
