Kris Aquino undergoes another medical procedure: 'I am NOT a 'diva' patient'
Kris Aquino took to social media to share her latest health updates.
On Instagram, the Queen of All Media said she got her peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line at the Makati Medical Center (MMC) due to her vascular surgeon's preference.
"Contrary to what you may assume, I am NOT a 'diva' patient," Kris wrote, saying that her doctor suggested doing the procedure in MMC for convenience.
In her post, the celebrity posted a photo of herself on a wheelchair and said the photo was taken at 6am, while she waited for the 7am procedure to commence.
According to Kris, her medical team has grown because she now has nine diagnosed autoimmune diseases, five of which are life-threatening.
Acknowledging how tough it is to process the severity of her illnesses, Kris said she's slowly learning "to leave everything to God's will because He knows best."
On a positive note, Kris is starting to regain her appetite, and some of her friends, including Jessica Soho, are sending her nourishing food. She currently weighs 88 pounds, which she considers a "win" in her recovery journey.
Kris then thanked her ex-boyfriend, Dr. Mike Padlan, for being present while she was sedated during her medical procedure.
"I am sad that you declined to remain as one of my lead physicians, but I do understand what you meant when you said to 'LET ME GO,'" she said.
“Mahirap talaga kapag magkaibang mundo ang pinanggalingan at nakasanayan,” she added.
Nevertheless, Kris said she hopes that Mike's anger will ease in time and that they will eventually find peace in their hearts.
In mid-March, Kris announced her breakup with Mike.
In February, Kris made her first public appearance following her health challenges to attend the People of the Year 2025 awards night and showed support for her friend Michael Leyva.
