Shan Vesagas surprised by ‘Maka’ co-stars, family on his birthday

Shan Vesagas received a birthday surprise from his “Maka” co-stars on the set of the Kapuso series.

According to Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras" Wednesday, Shan’s parents were also present during the celebration.

“Sobrang hindi ko po expected. Sabi ko sa inyo oorder-an ko sila ng food, so wala po talaga akong alam. And ‘yon, pumasok po ‘yung lechon, nagulat ako. Tapos sa likod po no’n ‘yung parents ko, so na-touch po ako,” Shan said.

The Sparkle star also teased that there are new things viewers should watch out for from his “Maka” role.

“This episode po is about po sa character ko. Nasangkot po siya sa isang road rage. Kaabang-abang po talaga. Maraming conflict,” he said.

“Maka” is now on its second season.

The series also stars Zephanie, Lapillus member Chanty Videla, Bryce Eusebio, John Clifford, Elijah Alejo, and more.

Produced by GMA Public Affairs, the first season of “Maka” premiered on September 21. It follows a group of students in Maka High School, which is about to be closed down.
