Jennylyn Mercado releases comeback song 'Ayaw Pang Umuwi'

Jennylyn Mercado just made the ultimate comeback!

The actress and singer released her latest original song, “Ayaw Pang Umuwi,” on Friday along with a lyric video. She flexes her smooth vocals in the nostalgic pop song, all about finding the right person for her.

Jennylyn first teased her music comeback in 2023, when she shared she had a meeting with the Star Music team. The Ultimate Star further teased fans by posting photos in the studio.

In March, Jennylyn revealed that she had finished recording her comeback album.

Jennylyn is known for her songs “Kahit Sandali,” "Sa Aking Panaginip," and "Moments of Love" with Janno Gibbs, as well as covers of classic songs like “Maybe This Time” and “A Long and Lasting Love.” Her last releases were the single "Merry Christmas, Darling" in 2017 and the album "Jen's Gems" in 2016.
