Dennis Padilla tells brother Gene 'wala lang mali'

Dennis Padilla consoled his brother Gene after he endured "bashing" from netizens following Claudia Barretto's wedding.

"Dear Gene, wala kang mali," Dennis began. "Nagbigay ka lang ng suporta sa akin dahil naramdaman mo ko. Salamat," he said adding emojis of a crying face and a red heart.

Dennis left his comment on Gene's post, where he said "it's okay if you say hurtful things. You don't know me, and I don't know you - but I still choose to send you love, peace and prayers for healing."

Along with his 81-year-old mother, Gene accompanied Dennis to the now-controversial wedding of his daughter Claudia with Marjorie Barretto and took to social media to air his frustration about the alleged neglect they experienced there.

Shortly after, Dennis sat down with entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz to detail their experience, among which was not receiving a physical invitation to the wedding despite providing an address, being was told to "just follow the program" while there, and how he assumed he was going to walk his daughter down the aisle.

He earlier decried being treated only as a "visitor of the bride" instead of being the "father of the bride" in a now-deleted post.

Over the weekend, Marjorie addressed the claims of the Padilla brothers, explaining why her children did not pick up Dennis' many calls, revealing Dennis was actually given priority during the photo-taking session, clarifying that Claudia told her father that she was going to walk down the aisle alone, and saying Gene was not invited to the wedding, which got netizens leaving comments about party invitations on his social media posts.

As of writing, comments on Gene's social media has been limited — LA, GMA Integrated News
