Nora Aunor's state necrological services scheduled for April 22
The state necrological services for National Artist for Film and Broadcast Nora Aunor will take place tomorrow, April 22 at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila.
According to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) arrival honors will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by a tribute program at 9:00 a.m.
The rites will continue with a state funeral at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City.
The public is welcome to attend the necrological service. However, the seating capacity is limited.
Registration details will be posted later today, Monday on CCP and NCCA's official social media pages for those looking to attend.
The event will also be live-streamed on Facebook for those unable to attend in person.
Nora, widely regarded as the Superstar, died of acute respiratory failure on April 16. She was 71.
Nora's wake was held at the Heritage Park in Taguig, with a public viewing taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Her interment is scheduled for April 22.
