BINI's Jhoanna and Stacey, 'PBB' housemates perform 'Kapit Lang' in sign language

BINI’s Jhoanna and Stacey, along with the housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition,”  performed “Kapit Lang” in Filipino Sign Language in Tuesday's episode.

The performance happened after Jhoanna and Stacey opened up about the bashing they received. Jhoanna stressed the importance of communication, which means more than just words.

The BINI leader said that “Kapit Lang” was performed at one of their concerts in Filipino Sign Language, which they studied with the Deaf community.

“Very important siya sa ‘min kasi sobrang vocal namin about our advocacy and it made us realize po na ang daming taong hindi nabibigyan ng chance mag voice out ng opinions kasi nga wala silang kakayanan, pero ‘pag tinulungan lang natin sila, iba ‘yung ginagawa ng actions eh,” Jhoanna told Kuya in the confession room.

Stacey added, “Nakakataba po ng puso kasi na-feel po talaga namin na sobrang genuine po ng housemates na willing talaga silang aralin ‘yung kanta.”

The BINI members then taught the housemates how to sing the song in sign language.

Emilio Daez said he enjoyed learning because he is “a big advocate for social responsibility.”

“It’s nice to share this experience with the Housemates and of course, BINI Stacey and Jhoanna,” he added.

After their practice, the whole group performed “Kapit Lang” in the garden with Klarisse De Guzman on guitar.

Esnyr said about the performance, “Gusto po namin makatulong sa advocacy nila. At the same time, gusto namin i-welcome po ‘yung family namin from Deaf communities.”

Shuvee Entrata added that she feels proud of their song because they were able to convey its message.

Following the performance, Jhoanna said she hopes that they inspired the housemates to have their own advocacy.

"And ma-share nila ‘yung natutunan nila sa song na ‘yun sa ibang tao.”
