Emilio Daez on being likened to Seventeen's Mingyu: ‘Truly an honor!’ 

Many netizens and K-pop fans online have noticed the resemblance of Emilio Daez to Mingyu of Seventeen and the former “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” housemate could only utter his thanks.

“Grabe! Mingyu, yung Seventeen? Siyempre, that's truly an honor na nasasabi ng mga tao, na kamukha ko si Mingyu kasi sobrang gwapo niya, 'di ba? So, I mean, thank you so much,” Emilio told GMA News Online in an exclusive interview. 

The Kapamilya star said he also feels grateful to be compared with Mingyu because the K-pop idol, who is also an “international icon” has done so many things in the world. 

“I'm just super grateful and very honored to be mentioned in the same breath as Mingyu. Kasi, siyempre, ang dami nilang nagawa sa buong mundo, diba? And that guy is an international icon. So, the fact that I'm even being compared to him is already an honor,” Emilio shared. 

Emilio and his duo Michael Sager were the first male housemates to get evicted from the PBB house. Shortly after their exit, the two reunited with BINI members Jhoanna and Stacey who served as house guests in Bahay ni Kuya.
