Michael Sager opens up on unexpected friendship with BINI Jhoanna, Stacey
Despite his short stint on “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition,” Michael Sager has formed friendships with some housemates, including his duo Emilio Daez and BINI members Jhoanna and Stacey, who previously served as house guests.
In an interview with GMA News Online, the Sparkle star said he is a fan of BINI even before he entered the PBB house, so when he met the two members inside he was starstruck.
“Siguro with BINI Jhoanna and Stacey or Jhocey, we got really close well kasi first and foremost, I’m a fan of them. ‘Yung task kasi ni kuya na standee na magpa-papicture. Nakikita na namin sila all the time, and mapapatingin ka sa kanila kasi maganda of course and they’re BINI,” Michael said.
“So ‘yung first meet ko sa kanila, nag-jump shot kami. So doon ko nakita kung game ba sila, energetic sila. And they were very game. And throughout, nakaka-starstruck din. As in, I have to say nakaka-starstruck,” he added.
According to the former PBB housemate, he became close with the P-pop stars because they were “very real,” a quality he is looking for in his friends.
“They were very real, [which is] something that I look for in my friends. And in the house, I had a hard time creating friends. But they were the people that really were genuine with me,” he shared.
As he, Emilio, Jhoanna and Stacey formed a squad inside, the four of them promised to play bowling once they returned to the outside world.
“Yung relationship namin, sabi ko, hindi to mag-i-end dito sa guesting ninyo. Outside, paglabas natin, bowling tayo. Nag-pinky [promise] kami. And wow, a day after, nung Sunday night, they had a schedule and then Emilio and I were available. So, we said, bowling na tayo. Ituloy na natin. Natuloy yun,” Michael said.
Michael also said that he is very happy because he became friends with Jhoanna and Stacey and even called them “one of the best people” that he's met.
“We were very happy kasi, I don't know, I got really close to them. And Emilio and I were talking that they're really, really real, really genuine. They're one of the best people that I've met. And I'm happy that we're really good friends,” he shared.
Michael and Emilio, or MiLi were the first male housemates to get evicted from the PBB house.
Shortly after their exit, the two reunited with BINI members Jhoanna and Stacey and filmed several TikTok challenges together, made good on their promise to play bowling together, and even ate at a fast food restaurant.
