Jak Roberto begins taping for 'My Father's Wife'

Jak Roberto is set to star in the upcoming series, "My Father's Wife."

According to Lhar Santiago's report in "24 Oras" Friday, the Sparkle star has started taping for the series.

He will star alongside Gabby Concepcion and Snooky Serna, while his love interests will be played by Kylie Padilla and Kazel Kinouchi.

"Isa po ako ditong nursing student na tumutulong sa magulang. Very loving boyfriend, tinutulungan  ko 'yung girlfriend ko na salat sa buhay and nung pumunta ako sa US para makakuha ng green card, something happened," he said of the show's plot.  

The series will also tackle falling out of love in a relationship.

Jak and Barbie Forteza broke up early this year after seven years. According to Jak, it may still be sensitive for him to turn to his own breakup for his character.

"Pwede nating hugutin 'yun, pero baka hindi mag-effect dahil parang alam mo 'yun, sensitive pa sa 'yo so kami as an actor, as much as pwede kaming gumamit ng techniques para hindi maging personal 'yung pag-atake namin sa eksena," he said.

He also is not looking to fall in love again soon as he is focused on working on his fitness anew and exploring different business ventures.

"Wala muna siguro, relaks relaks muna, gusto ko pa mag discover ng iba't ibang business," he said. "Back on track na tayo sa pag-w-work out ulit kasi medyo na-f-frustrate ako lately syempre maraming  pinagdaanan, stress eating, pero ngayon parang game mode na ulit."
