Shaira Diaz turns 30, gets birthday surprise in 'Unang Hirit'

Shaira Diaz just turned 30 years old!

The Kapuso Morning Sunshine received a birthday surprise from her "Unang Hirit" family on Monday, with her own mom Liza Dela Cruz coming on the show to cook Shaira's favorite pork ribs caldereta with co-host Susan Enriquez.

During the segment, Liza shared that she is ready for Shaira and EA Guzman's wedding in August.

"Oo naman, ready na 'ko kasi darating naman talaga sa panahon na mag-aasawa ang anak ko," said Liza.

"Nagustuhan ko naman kay Ed, mabait siyang tao at mapagmahal siya sa pamilya niya. Syempre mamahalin rin niya 'yung anak ko."

She also shared her birthday wish for Shaira.

"Wish ko sa kaniya wag niya pababayaan 'yung sarili niya, 'yung health niya, maging malusog siya," she said.

Shaira, on the other hand, thanked her mom for always supporting her and for loving EA.

"Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na marinig mismo sa inyo ni daddy na ready na kayong ibigay sa kaniya, ready na kayo na magka-apo, kasi dati talaga hindi eh, pero ngayon eto na. Sila na mismo ang nagmamadali at nagpupush, kaya thank you ma I love you, dito lang ako 'di kita papabayaan," she said.

At the end of the segment, "Unang Hirit" co-hosts Anjo Pertierra and Kaloy Tingcungco brought in a bouquet and two cakes for Shaira and Liza, who also celebrated her birthday recently.

On Instagram, Shaira extended her gratitude to her "Unang Hirit" family for the cakes and flowers.

"Thank you [Unang Hirit] family!!! Ganda ganda ng cake namin ni mama and flowers ko," she wrote. "Thank you rin Mama for cooking my favorite caldereta this morning!"
