Marco Gumabao concedes defeat in Camarines Sur 4th district representative bid

Marco Gumabao has conceded defeat in his bid for representative of the fourth district of Camarines Sur in the 2025 midterm elections.

On social media Tuesday, the actor expressed his gratitude to his supporters even though the election's outcome was not what they favored.

"Hindi man ito ang resulta na aming hinangad, alam kong ibinigay natin ang lahat, at buong puso tayong lumaban," he said.

"Sa lahat ng bumoto, sumuporta, tumulong, at naniwala—salamat po sa pagtanggap sa amin, sa inyong tiwala, at sa pagmamahal na ipinakita ninyo sa bawat sulok ng Partido."

Marco also said that this does not mean the end, adding that he will still be there to serve and help.

"Ang serbisyo at malasakit, hindi lang nasusukat sa puwesto. Magkikita pa rin tayo, at magtutulungan pa rin tayo—dahil ang tunay na laban ay para sa inyo," he said.

Marco ran under the National Unity Party.

As of 10:54 a.m. Tuesday, Marco has garnered 95,089 votes based on partial, unofficial results, while incumbent CamSur fourth district representative Arnie Fuentebella has 122,306 votes.
