David Licauco 'really grateful' for 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition' experience

David Licauco expressed his profound gratitude after being given the opportunity to enter "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" as a house guest.

According to Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, David was welcomed back to the outside world by his Sparkle family, headed by Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo.

David said that he was "still on a high" after his exit.

"Kakaiyak ko lang eh, Tito Lhar. 'Yung goodbyes, of course. Siyempre naging close rin sa mga housemates and naging close na rin sa environment. So, yeah, it was a hard goodbye to everybody," he said.

"I'm really grateful for this experience. Thankful to GMA for allowing me to experience 'Pinoy Big Brother' kasi pangarap ko rin 'yun dati noong bata ako. Maraming emotions, maraming nangyayari na hindi nakikita ng mga tao," David said.

The Pambansang Ginoo highlighted the warm reception he received from the housemates.

"Eventually naman, they really opened to me. Ginuide po nila ako. Hindi po nila sa 'kin pinaramdam na extra ako sa kanila. Marami po akong naging kaibigan na sigurado po ako ay paglabas ay magiging kaibigan ko pa rin," he said.

Among the things he will miss the most is his bond with everyone.

Other memorable moments include his entry to the house, talking to Kuya, and the "camaraderie at tsaka 'yung teamwork po ng lahat ng mga tao para ma-accomplish 'yung task para po may makain."

David also admitted that he felt challenged when he helped the housemates with their task to make River Joseph angry.

"We had to do things na para ma-affect 'yung emotions ng isang tao, ng maraming tao. We felt really bad in that instance. But we're really happy na nagawa po namin 'yung task nang maayos at nanalo po kami," he said.

Although his stay was brief, David felt the immersive nature of the experience.

"I think bibigyan ko po 'yung sarili ko ng mga dalawang araw para po mag-debrief at medyo nawala po ako nang slight kahit po five days lang," he said.

David also shared that his cravings are "Chicken, lahat po ng meat. Dahil puro gulay po 'yung kinakain namin sa loob at chichirya. Puro po chichirya at tsaka ice cream, tsaka kanin, lollipop. Puro sabaw, gano'n."

During his stay, David's onscreen partner, Barbie Forteza, expressed support for him.

"Ako, to be honest, parang wala akong gano'ng level ng lakas ng loob para pumasok sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya. Ginusto niyang pumasok and ginusto niyang makilala 'yung mga housemates," Barbie said.

"Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" airs new episodes on GMA Network at 10 p.m. on weekdays and at 6:15 p.m. on weekends.
