'Superman' in Manila: David Corenswet and team make halo-halo with Abi Marquez

"Superman" stars David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, along with director James Gunn, had a firsthand experience of making halo-halo!

On Instagram, the official page of "Superman" shared a video of David, Rachel, and James taking Abi Marquez's masterclass on creating the famous Filipino shaved ice dessert.

In the video, the trio could be seen listening intently to Abi's instructions on making halo-halo. After creating their own iterations of the dessert, they presented it to a group of people and let them try it.

Earlier, Abi shared a photo with David, Rachel, and James taken at her kitchen studio with lumpia in front of them.

The cast and crew of "Superman" recently visited Manila for the first stop of their promotion tour.

"Superman" opens in cinemas and IMAX on July 9. It establishes the iconic hero in the new DC Studios cinematic universe headed by Gunn and Safran.

The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
