Faith Da Silva on 'Sang'gre's success: 'More than the ratings, it's the movement and impact'

Faith Da Silva could not hide her joy over the success that is "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" ever since the series made its premiere on GMA Prime in the past week.

According to Lhar Santiago's report in "24 Oras" Wednesday, it feels surreal for the Sparkle star knowing there are many Encantadiks tuning in the show with them.

"More than the ratings it's the movement and the impact, na nararamdaman ko talaga kung gaano ka--excited 'yung mga Encantadiks natin kasi ako, Bianca, Angel, Kelvin, at Rhian, we all watched in the same area," she said.

"It just felt surreal to think about ilang tao din 'yung kasabay namin na napapanood siya for the very first time," she added.

It can be remembered that the cast and crew of "Sang'gre" held a watch party as the series made its premiere on June 16.

The epic and goosebumps-inducing pilot episode earned high praise from viewers and led the primetime ratings for June 16, earning a combined rating of 13.7 from GMA and GTV channels, according to preliminary data from the Nationwide Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) People Ratings.

Faith's character, Flamarra, as well as Deia (Angel Guardian) and Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), the new keepers of the gems of fire, air, and water, will also be seen more frequently in "Sang'gre's" episodes, per the report.

"Sa unang paglabas namin siguro ang madidistinguish niyo dun is 'yung kakaibang character namin sa element namin at kung papaano kami pinalaki ng aming mga magulang. Kasi ako galing ako sa Hathoria at Punjabwe, so kung paano ba binago ng buong pamilya 'yung isang firekeeper kumbaga," she shared.

Aside from "Sang'gre," Faith is also gearing up for the premiere of "Stars on the Floor" on June 28.

She is among the Kapuso celebrities who will be joining the dance show, alongside Glaiza De Castro, Rodjun Cruz, Thea Astley, and VXON member Patrick.

"Stars on the Floor" will be hosted by Alden Richards with Marian Rivera, Pokwang and SB19 choreographer Coach Jay serving as the judges.

Meanwhile, "Sang'gre" airs weekdays on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."
