Dingdong Dantes proud of Marian Rivera's opening performance in 'Stars on the Floor'
Dingdong Dantes is nothing short of proud of Marian Rivera for her opening dance performance in "Stars on the Floor."
In Aubrey Carampel's report in "24 Oras" Friday, the Kapuso Primetime King said that Marian owned the stage in that moment.
"Nung nakita ko siya nag-perform sa opening, sabi ko, kitang-kitang — parang the stage is hers, 'di ba? In-own niya 'yung stage sa moment lang na 'yun, 'yung kaniyang number, pero 'yun 'yung kaniyang kaligayahan, pagsasayaw," he shared.
The Kapuso dance competition premiered on GMA Network on June 28 and saw its judges, composed of Marian, Pokwang, and SB19 choreographer Coach Jay Roncesvalles, perform their own dance number for the crowd.
According to Dingdong, he loves watching Marian in a reality talent show because people get to see her true self.
"Syempre sanay tayo makita siya sa teleserye. 'Pag ganun, she is just herself, 'di ba makikita natin kung gaano siya ka-lively, kung gaano siya kakalog, at kung gaano lang ka-good vibes bilang isang tao," he said.
"Stars on the Floor" is hosted by Alden Richards and airs Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. on GMA.
Meanwhile, Dingdong is looking forward to his 45th birthday on August 2, which coincides with GMA Gala 2025.
"Meaningful siya kasi I will be turning 45 and GMA is 75, and karamihan ng 45 years ko ay inilaan ko sa GMA," he said.
"Amazing Earth," the Kapuso infotainment show that Dingdong hosts, will also mark its seventh anniversary in August.
