Ralph De Leon denies AZ Martinez confessed to him; addresses 'pa-fall' comments
Ralph De Leon has set things straight: AZ Martinez never admitted to having romantic feelings for him.
Ralph and his final duo Will Ashley guested in a recent episode of "Your Honor," where hosts Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar playfully asked them about their so-called "pogi problems."
"Nasabihan ka na ba ng, 'Pogi 'to. 'Wag 'yan. Pa-fall 'yan?'" Buboy asked Ralph.
The Kapamilya star responded with a simple "yup" before opening up about the bond he formed with AZ during their time on "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition."
"Siyempre sa loob, close close din talaga kami ni AZ. 'Yung totoo, genuine talaga 'yung pinagsamahan namin doon," Ralph explained.
The Dutiful Judo-Son of Cavite then clarified that there was no romantic stuff going between them and denied claims that AZ ever confessed any feelings for him.
"And multiple times parang siyempre nilulubog ko talaga 'yung mga sinasabi ng mga tao na may parang anything romantic going on between us, na may sinabi si AZ na ganito, ganyan. Pero wala naman talaga eh, wala naman siya sinabi. 'Yun nga, sobrang todo support lang talaga," he shared.
Ralph also addressed the "pa-fall" accusations saying that he and AZ are just really close.
"Pero 'yung nga, 'yung mga sa accusations na pa-fall, kasi sobrang close talaga namin, inaakala ng mga tao na sobrang mixed signals ko. Na, alam mo 'yun, na parang close talaga kami. Na mini-misinterpret, or siyempre, tine-take in a different light na mga tao yung mga ginagawa ko," he said.
"And every time, kahit before man yan ako na-evict, or after, nung bumalik ako, minimake sure ko talaga na klaro yung kung anumang mayroon kami ni AZ, na friendship talaga yun," Ralph added.
AZ and Ralph were among the fan ships that blossomed from "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition."
They started out as the RAZ duo, and their growing closeness quickly led to nonstop teasing from housemates and fans alike. Even though both of them later denied having any romantic feelings for each other, their actions—especially when a little tipsy—made it hard for fans not to hope the ship might still sail.
Some of their most talked-about moments were when they got drunk on separate occasions and ended up looking for each other. And of course, their reunion after Ralph's eviction—and his dramatic wildcard comeback—had everyone glued to their screens after a week-long wait. Fans couldn't get enough.
Following their exit from PBB, the two captured their first-ever selfie together outside the house, sparking kilig vibes among their beloved fans.
They also made fans kilig with their first-ever TikTok entry together, hopping to the "Lasik" song trend.
When asked about their current status, AZ and Ralph said that they are "very good friends" for now. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
