Sponge Cola to perform in Singapore after nearly a decade
Sponge Cola is returning to Singapore for a show!
After eight years, the Filipino rock band is set to return to the Little Red Dot on August 31, marking their first live performance in the city-state since 2017.
“This show is a homecoming of sorts,” Sponge Cola vocalist Yael Yuzon said in a press release.
“Singapore is one of the band’s favorite vacation spots. We’re excited to hang out with our fellow Filipinos in Singapore – performing in these shows abroad is like playing for family,” he added.
The one-night-only concert will be presented by Requiem Rising in partnership with Como Hotels Singapore at Timbre+ One North.
Sponge Cola is known for their hit songs “Jeepney, “Gemini,” and “Tuliro,” among others.
In 2024, the OPM band released “Tatlong Buwan” inspired by the hit K-drama series, “Queen of Tears.”
