Rhian Ramos renews ties with GMA Network

Rhian Ramos remains a Kapuso as she renewed her contract with GMA Network on Tuesday.

The homegrown Kapuso actress couldn't help but turn emotional as she expressed her gratitude to GMA Network, which has been her home for almost two decades. 

“Thank you so much for the patience all of these years. I literally grew up in this network,” the Kapuso Infinite Star said.

“Thank you for the guidance and for inspiring me not just to be a good artist and actor but a good person. Thank you so much for the years of trust that you have given me,” she added.

Present at the contract signing were GMA Network President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA Network Officer-In-Charge for Entertainment Group and Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, and Rhian’s manager Michael Uycoco.

Rhian’s boyfriend entrepreneur Sam Verzosa her mom Clara and sister Nadine also graced the contract signing. 

In his speech, Duavit praised Rhian for her versatility as an actress. 

“Throughout all these years, from a number of drama roles that have proven her versatility to hosting reality shows, musical variety shows, musicals, even lifestyle shows, Rhian has not shown anything but versatility, professionalism, and loyalty,” Duavit said.

“She continues to inspire us all and her co-workers. Rhian, you're a fine example to all of us and you make us all very proud,” he added.

Rhian started her career with GMA Network in “Captain Barbell” in 2006. She later appeared in several Kapuso series such as “LaLola,” “The Richman’s Daughter,” and “Royal Blood,” among others.

She currently stars in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” as Mitena—JCB, GMA Integrated News
