"Green Bones" isn't finished collecting accolades.

On social media Friday, GMA Pictures announced the multi-awarded film starring Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid has just become an official contender for the Philippines' 2026 Oscar entry!

"A story worth sharing with the world — reminding us that even in the darkest places, humanity endures. ‘Green Bones’ challenges us to look deeper and question our ideas of justice and redemption," the official account of GMA Pictures said.

In its post, the Kapuso film company also congratulated the six other films it is going up against: "Food Delivery," "Sunshine," "Hello Love Again," "Magellan," "Song of the Fireflies," and "Some Nights I Feel Like Walking."

"We also extend our warmest congratulations to the 6 other incredible films in contention. It’s an honor to stand alongside such world-class Filipino cinema," it said.

"Green Bones" is the official entry of GMA Pictures to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024, where it won several awards including Best Actor for Trillo, Best Supporting Actor for Madrid, and Best Picture.
