Marian Rivera, 'Green Bones', 'Alipato at Muog', and more win awards at FAMAS 2025


Marian Rivera is named Best Actress at 73rd Famas Awards 2025 for her role in Balota

The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards, or the FAMAS Awards, once again honored the best in Filipino cinema on its 73rd edition at the Manila Hotel on Friday.

Among the winners are Marian Rivera for Best Actress for her role as Teacher Emmy in “Balota.”

In her acceptance speech, she said the award was a big honor for her.

 

She thanked the Cinemalaya Film Festival for giving her the opportunity to be in a film with a huge impact.

“Ang dami ko ding natutunan at nalaman kung ano ba talaga ang tunay na nangyayari sa ating bansa,” Marian said.

Marian also dedicated her award to all the teachers for their sacrifices and love for the country.

Meanwhile, “Green Bones” was named Best Screenplay, written by Ricky Lee and Anj Atienza.

The documentary about missing activist Jonas Burgos “Alipato at Muog,” won Best Picture. JL Burgos also won Best Director.

Best Musical Score: “Mamay”

Best Original Song: “Hamon” for “Mamay” and “Hahamakin Ang Lahat” for “Uninvited”

Best Sound: “Topakk”

Best Editing: “The Hearing”

Film Producer of the Year: Mentorque, Inc. and Mamay Production

Bida sa Takilya Award: Kathryn Bernardo
