Marian Rivera ready for other projects after FAMAS win: 'Kung ano nandiyan at maganda, subukan'
Marian Rivera is ready to take on other projects following her Best Actress win at the 73rd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards for her role as Teacher Emmy in "Balota."
In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" on Tuesday, the Kapuso Primetime Queen shared that choosing to do "Balota" was her way of contributing to the country.
"Iba-iba kasi tayo 'pag gumagawa tayo ng pelikula, may iba-iba tayong dahilan. This time, 'Balota,' ang dahilan nito ay you contribute for your country. Marami akong realization at marami pa 'kong nalaman tungkol sa ano ba talaga totoong kalagayan ng ating lipunan," she said.
For her next goal, Marian said she is ready and willing to accept whatever projects that will come her way.
"Kung ano na lang 'yung dumating na projects at ibigay sa 'yo ni Lord ay tatanggapin mo na lang nang buong-buo," she said.
"Siguro kapag kabataaan mo marami ka dapat i-goal pero sa punto nito sa buhay ko kumbaga kung ano 'yung nandiyan na project at maganda, subukan. Kung wala, okay lang."
Last year, Marian also won the Best Actress award for "Balota" at the Cinemalaya 2024, sharing the trophy with Gabby Padilla ("Kono Basho").
Directed by Kip Oebanda, "Balota" is currently streaming on Netflix.
Meanwhile, Marian is the host of the award-winning drama anthology "Tadhana," which is celebrating its eighth year on air this August.
She also currently serves as a judge in the Kapuso reality dance competition "Stars on the Floor," which is hosted by Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards.
