Spinoff series ‘Maka Lovestream’ to begin airing in September

The spinoff series “Maka Lovestream,” starring Zephanie, Marco Masa, Shan Vesagas, Elijah Alejo, John Clifford, and more is set to begin airing in September.

According to Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras,” Friday, the cast will take on new characters, different from their roles in the previous “Maka” seasons.

“Honestly, naninibago po talaga ako kasi siyempre, one year po namin pino-portray ‘yung mga characters namin,” John said.

Sean said that the show is a “collaborative effort” and even the cast members were asked for their input.

Its first release is titled “28 Days,” which promises an emotional story.

“One thing that I find very similar with the characters na I’ve done before is laging hopeful talaga siya. Pero this time, I think, mas hina-hide ko ‘yung pain. Compared to Zeph Molina, ito ‘yung ‘di ko puwede ipakita, kailangan strong ako,” Zephanie said.

The series is directed by Frasco Mortiz.

“Maka Lovestream” will premiere on September 6 at 4:45 p.m. on GMA Network.
