Mika Salamanca gives shoutout to Brent Manalo in children’s book ‘Lipad’
Mika Salamanca just gave a shoutout to her duo for life, Brent Manalo, in her own children’s book “Lipad!”
As seen on the acknowledgements page of the storybook, Brent, along with Mika’s best friends Von, Bumi, Ben, Mitch, and Nathan, was mentioned among the people who gave her the strength to keep going in life.
“Sa aking matalik na mga kaibigan–Von, Bumi, Mitch, Ben, Nathan at Brent – salamat sa pagbibigay sa akin ng lakas ng loob na ipagpatuloy ang aking paglipad,” Mika wrote.
Earlier, Mika said that Brent was among the first people to read her book. She added that Brent will be the first "PBB" housemate she will give a copy of “Lipad.”
“Sobrang supportive niya po sa libro na ito," the Sparkle star said.
Mika’s inaugural book, “Lipad,” tells the story of a young fairy named Mahika, who feels she is not good enough because her wings are small and different from the rest.
According to Mika, Mahika's character is inspired by herself.
"Lipad" will make its official debut at the Manila International Book Fair 2025, which will be held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay from September 10 to 14.
She will also have a reading session and a book signing at the event.
Mika was among the 20 housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." She and her final duo Brent were the season’s Big Winners.
She currently appears as Anaca in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre," which airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."
