'The Voice Kids PH' coaches share the heartbreak they're expecting in the competition
"The Voice Kids Philippines" is set to return this September, and its coaches have shared the heartbreak that they are expecting in the upcoming competition.
The latest edition of the show will see the return of coaches Julie Anne San Jose and Billy Crawford, as well as the arrival of new coaches Zack Tabudlo and Ben&Ben twins Miguel and Paolo Guico.
In their GMA Integrated News interview with Nelson Canlas, which aired on "24 Oras" Tuesday, Miguel shared that the kids themselves have been preparing for the heartbreak involved in the competition.
"Non-stop sila sa pagsabi ng, 'Guys prepare for the heartbreak.' At the end of the day, we know it's a competition and we know that not everyone can get in," he said.
Paolo added he gets really attached to the kids and that he is not looking forward to the elimination process.
"But I think 'yung bottom line din for us, of course, given na it's a competition, is magawa lang namin 'yung task of really bringing out the best in these kids and making sure na they know na we believe in them. I think masasabi [namin] na we did our job," he said.
Meanwhile, Billy underscored that winning is not the most important part of the competition.
"These kids are very smart and they have one goal, and one goal is to win. The most important part of the competition is not winning, it's just securing your place and being remembered for the rest of your life. You just have to perform like it's your last," he said.
The last edition of "The Voice Kids Philippines" held its grand finals back in December 2024, with Nevin Adam Garceniego under Coach Pablo of SB19 emerging as the grand champion.
The next season of "The Voice Kids Philippines" will premiere on September 14 on GMA Network.
The show will be hosted by Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.
