Klea Pineda, Janella Salvador address rumors about their closeness: 'Basta masaya kami together'

Klea Pineda and Janella Salvador addressed their growing closeness that has been noticed by fans.

In Nelson Canlas' report for GMA Integrated News, Klea and Janella spoke about the rumors linking them to each other.

"Kung ano 'yung nakikita n'yo online or kahit saan, 'yun na 'yun, basta masaya kami together," Klea said.

"Nakikita n'yo naman kung gaano ako kasaya. Hindi ito 'yung tamang venue to talk about personal matters pero kung ano 'yung nakikita n'yo, 'yun na 'yun," Janella added.

Janella also denied that she was the reason behind Klea's breakup with Katrice Kierulf.

"Para lang maging klaro, sabi ko kasi magsasalita ako at the right time, eto na 'yun. Hindi po ako part nung breakup, hindi po ako third party. I'd like to exclude myself from that," she added.

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Thursday, Klea said she and Katrice broke up after the filming of "Open Endings," the queer film Klea and Janella are starring in. 

"'Yung support naman niya sa 'kin, napakita naman niya sa 'kin habang nag-sh-shoot kami ng 'Open Endings.' Dumating lang talaga sa point na meron kaming hindi napagkaintindihan kaya napunta kami sa ganung sitwasyon," said Klea of Katrice. 

Klea earlier shut down the rumors linking Janella to her split with Katrice.

"Open Endings" is one of the entries for Cinemalaya 2025. Klea and Janella co-starred with Jasmine Curtis-Smith and OPM singer Leanne Mamonong.

Klea came out as lesbian in 2023 and introduced Katrice as her girlfriend shortly after.
