Mika Salamanca on her book 'Lipad': 'The story closest to my heart'
Mika Salamanca shared more about her first children’s book, "Lipad," which was recently published, much to her delight.
On Instagram, the “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” Big Winner described it as "the story closest to my heart."
She said that she and her team started working on "Lipad" the second day after she left Bahay ni Kuya.
“Hindi naging madali, pero every step was filled with love, hope, and faith,” Mika said.
“And now, hawak-hawak ko na siya. Something that used to live only in my heart is finally real.”
Mika hopes readers will also experience “the same love and warmth na binuhos ko/namin dito.”
She added that "Lipad" is not just for kids, but for everyone.
“I know it will find its way to your heart and give you a little resolution. Kaya sana habang binabasa nyo siya, maramdaman nyo rin yung same magic that carried me through,” Mika said.
“Sabay-sabay tayong lumipad, and may we never stop flying,” she added.
"Lipad" will make its official debut at the Manila International Book Fair 2025, which will be held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay from September 10 to 14.
She will also hold a reading session and a book signing at the event.
Mika gave a special shoutout to her duo partner Brent Manalo in the book.
The actress currently appears as Anaca in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre," which airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."
