Dingdong Dantes to return as 'The Voice Kids PH' host this September

Dingdong Dantes is set to return as the host of "The Voice Kids Philippines" this September, and he's ready for all the emotional and heartwarming moments that the show will bring.

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Friday, the Kapuso Primetime King shared that it's at once difficult and inspiring to be part of the show.

"Parang mahirap turuan ang damdamin na maging pusong bato every time we let go of some, syempre masakit. Every time we discover new talents,  it's so refreshing, it's so inspiring, and it's always a mix of these emotions," he said.

As a parent himself, Dingdong added that he has a certain level of understanding when it comes to kids, especially since the contestants are around the same age as his daughter, Zia.

"'Yung daughter ko mahilig ding kumanta so lahat ng napapanood ko sa kanila, sa bawat galaw nila naaalala ko talaga 'yung sarili kong anak."

He also said that it is a joy to be part of the show since he gets to witness the many talents of the contestants.

"Nakikita natin yung mga iba't ibang klaseng emosyon, napapanood natin yung iba't ibang klaseng kagalingan ng mga bata. It is always a treat being on the stage of The Voice Kids," he shared.

Dingdong also hosted the last edition of "The Voice Kids PH" in 2024. It held its grand finals back in December, with Nevin Adam Garceniego under Coach Pablo of SB19 emerging as the grand champion.

The next season of "The Voice Kids PH" will premiere on September 14 at 7:15 p.m. on GMA Network.

It will see the return of coaches Julie Anne San Jose and Billy Crawford, and the debut of new coaches Zack Tabudlo and Ben&Ben twins Miguel and Paolo Guico.
