Kris Bernal admits feeling nervous in her return to showbiz
Kris Bernal is making a full-time return to the entertainment industry, openly admitting to feeling nervous about stepping back into demanding acting roles after a hiatus.
According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras” Thursday, Kris is currently a guest host on “TiktoClock” and is also set to star in a heavy drama episode for “Magpakailanman.”
“Sobrang kabado talaga ako kasi ang tagal kong hindi umarte, at ang tagal kong hindi umarte na iyak buong araw kasi ang last show ko kontrabida ako eh, so ngayon lang ulit ako naging api-apihan, kawawa,” Kris said.
Despite the jitters, Kris also feels a mix of excitement for her comeback, which her husband, Perry Choi, fully supports.
“Dito kasi ako lumaki, imagine 18 years na 'ko sa showbiz tapos biglang parang ang hirap lang bitawan at tsaka 'yung pag-arte talaga 'yung pinanghahawakan ko, nami-miss ko na umarte,” she said.
Kris signed a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center in August.
Ahead of her continuous work grind, Kris made sure to take a month-long vacation with Perry and their daughter, Hailee.
“Family time talaga, as in kasi bago ako pumirma sa Sparkle talagang sabi ko magbabakasyon muna ako kasi baka magsunod-sunod na,” she said.
Kris’ “Magpakailanman” episode, titled “Ang Babaeng ‘Di Na Natuto,” will follow the story of a woman who faces multiple heartbreaks and has five children with different fathers.
Kris rose to fame after being named Ultimate Love Team on “StarStruck” in 2006. She has taken a break from showbiz in recent years after getting married and having a child, but made an acting comeback in an episode of “Tadhana” in March.
