Joshua Dionisio admits Barbie Forteza was ‘more than a friend’ during ‘Tween Hearts’ days

Joshua Dionisio admitted that Barbie Forteza was more than just a friend to him during their “Tween Hearts” days.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Joshua looked back at their younger days together and made the candid revelation.

“I don’t wanna be the one to put a label on it, pero we were very close talaga during that time,” Joshua said. “I don't wanna be the one to put specific labels. Talagang everyday kami magkasama.”

He drew a clear distinction between his bond with Barbie and his other colleagues.

“Totoo naman po talaga na we're more than—kasi kung si Joyce [Ching], I'd consider her as my friend before. Pero si Barbie was more than a friend,” Joshua said.

He, however, clarified that they never exchanged “I love yous.”

“Kasi may mga acquaintances tayo, so I considered them as friends. Pero she's my, ano, parang, siguro, best friend or something more,” he said.

Currently, Joshua and Barbie are no longer in touch. 

“I'd say wala naman po akong bridges na binurn. Wala naman. Kasi kahit lahat na nakatrabaho ko, I consider them as friends still,” he said, adding that they parted ways on good terms.

Looking ahead, Joshua expressed his openness to a reunion project with Barbie should the opportunity arise.

Meanwhile, he shared that he is happily in a relationship and has already discussed marriage with his current partner.

Barbie is currently starring in “Beauty Empire” with Kyline Alcantara.

Her most recent films include “P77” and “Kontrabida Academy.”
