Vice Ganda promises plane ticket home, Christmas gift to 'It's Showtime' contestant
Vice Ganda promised to give a contestant named Ondo an early Christmas present on "It's Showtime."
During Monday's episode of the show's "Laro Laro Pick" segment, Ondo shared that his Christmas wish is to go home to Davao when asked what he wanted for himself.
"[Gusto ko] makauwi ng Davao, bibisita lang," he said while tearing up.
"Almost 15 years na [kasi] akong hindi nakauwi doon sa amin," he added.
Ondo works as a stay-in houseboy in Las Piñas and earns P8,000 per month. He said he supports three of his jobless siblings in Davao with his salary.
Moved by his story as a breadwinner, Vice Ganda promised to give him a plane ticket and an additional gift.
"Sa Pasko bibigyan kita ng plane ticket para makauwi ka," she said. "Bibigyan din kita ng pang regalo mo sa sarili mo, [para sa] kung ano pang kailangan mo diyan."
"I will make sure madadagdagan nang ngiti 'yung mukha mo sa Pasko, 'yun lang naman ang hiling ko," she added.
Previously, Vice Ganda apologized for a series of mishaps during the "Laro Laro Pick" segment of "It's Showtime" aired on September 13.
