Mika Salamanca to hold another book reading session on September 22

If you missed Mika Salamanca’s book reading session at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) last week, then this is your chance to hear the story behind her debut book “Lipad!” 

In a social media post, Book Nook, a community library and learning hub managed by SM Malls, announced that the “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” Big Winner will be holding a special book reading session on September 22, 1 p.m. at the SM North EDSA The Annex Atrium. 

“Guess who’s dropping by the Book Nook at SM North EDSA for a chill book reading sesh? Mika Salamanca – singer, actress, PBB Celebrity Collab winner, and now a published author – is coming through!” the announcement read.

Mika officially launched “Lipad” at the MIBF 2025 on Friday. 

During the event, Mika read the book to a crowd of fans. Afterwards, she held a book signing and meet and greet. 

“Lipad” tells the story of a diwata named Mahika, who is insecure because her wings are different from the rest. 

According to Mika, Mahika's character is inspired by her.

Mika was among the 20 housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." She finished as the season's Big Winner alongside her Kapamilya duo Brent Manalo.
