'Huwag Kang Titingin' stars share glimpse of first day of taping
The cast of "Huwag Kang Titingin," which include Sparkle stars Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay, Marco Masa, Sean Lucas, Josh Ford, Charlie Fleming, Anthony Constantino, Michael Sager, and Kira Balinger just marked their first day of taping and the horror feels are on!
According to Athena Imperial's report in "24 Oras" Tuesday, the main location of the movie is an ancestral house.
"Nakakatakot dito pag pasok tapos ngayon umuulan, nagbabaha sabi ko nako, pag gumabi na tapos walang ilaw, ayoko mag-isa," Josh shared.
The ancestral house features a spiral staircase connected a basement. It also has an altar festooned with old religious images and figurines, while a secret door leads to a bedroom with dated furniture, an old bed, and Capiz-shell windows.
"Since ito 'yung first day namin, very curious kami about what's going to happen, how is it going to happen inside," said Marco.
"Alam mo 'yung feeling you're going home tapos it's late at night tapos it's dark? Feeling ko dun na natatakot na 'ko," Charlie also shared.
GMA Network Senior Vice President and GMA ictures President Annette Gozon-Valdes was in full support of the cast's first day of taping and visited them on set.
In turn, the stars hid in a van and surprised her as she arrived.
Per Gozon-Valdes, the ancestral house reminds her of the set of GMA Pictures' 2006 period movie, "Moments of Love," which was directed by Mark Reyes.
"Parang iniisip ko nga, period ba 'to? Parang naisap ko 'yung dating movie natin na 'Moments of Love.' Ganito rin 'yung itsura ng location natin nun at blockbuster 'yun, one of the most well-loved movies, so sana 'yun rin 'yung mangyari dito sa movie," she shared.
"Huwag Kang Titingin" is co-produced by GMA Pictures and Mentorque Productions Inc.
GMA Pictures and Mentorque Productions Inc. held a contract signing in August to bring the new horror film to cinemas soon.
Other cast members include Shuvee Etrata and Sherilyn Reyes.
Directed by Frasco Mortiz, “Huwag Kang Titingin” offers a fresh take on Filipino horror, blending a chilling Gen Z-inspired narrative with the eerie pull of local folklore and viral internet challenges.
