Kuya Kim meets viral voice impersonator Kuya King from Sta. Mesa, Manila

Mon Manalo, a.k.a. Kuya King, a voice actor who gained fame for his spot-on impression of Kuya Kim Atienza, finally had the chance to meet his idol in person after going viral for content that successfully captured the Kapuso host’s distinct voice.

According to Kuya Kim’s report on “24 Oras” Wednesday, Mon is both a video editor and a voice actor from Sta. Mesa, Manila.

“Hilig ko rin na manggaya-gaya talaga ng boses. Kada may makikita kaming bagong hayop, bagong lugar, sasabihin ko, ‘Alam niyo ba na itong hayop na ito ay galing pa doon?’” Mon said.

Mon’s rise to fame began with a spontaneous video made during a hike in Benguet.

“‘Yung mga trivia na sinasabi ko po, kung ano po ‘yung lumabas na nasa utak ko. ‘Wag po sana nilang isipin na lahat ‘yun legit,” he said.

Kuya Kim granted Mon’s wish for them to finally meet and gave him a look at his professional workflow.

“Kuya Kim, sabi po nila ako raw si Kuya King na hindi nakapag-review,” Mon said.

Mon joined Kuya Kim at the “24 Oras” studio, and they read an extro spiel together.
