Kris Aquino throws surprise birthday party for makeup artist Jonathan Velasco

Despite her condition, Kris Aquino never failed to show up for her loved ones.

On Instagram, Kris’ makeup artist Jonathan Velasco shared some snaps from his surprise birthday celebration on September 25, which was prepared by the Queen of All Media and her kids Bimby and Josh.

In the photos, the Aquino family and Jonathan can be seen enjoying a nice meal in a Japanese restaurant.

“A huge thank you to the Aquino family for making my birthday so special. Love you po, Madam Kris, Josh, and Bimb,” Jonathan wrote.

The surprise birthday celebration comes at the wake of Kris's recent surgery , which included the implantation of a port-a-cath, as she began a more aggressive phase of her medical treatment.

In February, Kris made her first public appearance to attend the People Asia People of the Year 2025 awards night and showed support for her friend Michael Leyva .

In April, Kris revealed she has nine autoimmune diseases . She underwent another medical procedure that month.
