Alden Richards' directorial debut 'Out of Order' is the No. 1 movie on Netflix Philippines!

Alden Richards' directorial debut "Out of Order" is the number 1 movie on Netflix Philippines one day after it started streaming on the platform. Congratulations!

Sparkle celebrated the good news on Instagram, posting a screengrab from Netflix as well as a movie still of Alden.

The prized Sparkle actor also shared a screengrab of his latest feat on his Instagram stories and wrote, "God is good!"

Landing on Netflix Thursday, "Out of Order" follows the story of "a struggling lawyer who gets his big break after his estranged father asks for legal help."

Apart from directing the movie, Alden also topbills "Out of Order," alongside Nonie Buencamino, Heaven Peralejo, and GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.

In a previous “24 Oras” report, Asia's Multimedia Star explained the movie is about justice. "It’s about always seeking the truth at the end of the day because only the truth will matter with all of the things that’s happening in our lives right now,” he said.

Ever so humble, Alden credited his co-actors and the film's crew in mounting his directorial debut. "Since this is my debut as a director, binuhat nila ako lahat. Nagbuhatan kami lahat dito sa pelikula," he said in another 24 Oras report. 

"I read the script five times. 'Di ako makatulog sa gabi. Everyone looks to you in terms of command, I told myself, 'Parang dapat hindi mo masyadong ginagawang mental lahat, just go with it," he added.

But all looks worth it as "Out of Order" hits the number 1 spot on Netflix. Congratulations, Direk!
