Jak Roberto clarifies he is not courting Kylie Padilla

Jak Roberto clarified that he is not courting his "My Father's Wife" co-star Kylie Padilla. 

The Sparkle star guested on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday where he was candidly asked by Tito Boy if he was courting her due to their natural chemistry and closeness behind the scenes of the show. 

"Hindi po, hindi po," said Jak. "We're so comfortable with each other kasi. Nag-work kami before sa 'Bolera' — mas ano lang, kumbaga natuwa ako sa kaniya ka-trabaho dahil she's so open sa mga eksena. Wala na siyang parang mga walls and inhibitions."

When asked if there is a chance that he would court Kylie, the actor answered that he would not take the chance for now, noting that he'd like to take care of their close friendship. 

"Hindi siya mahirap mahalin, napaka-open at genuine and napakatalino kausap so for me wala naming siguro guy na hindi ma-i-in love sa kaniya dahil ganun siya ka-genuine na tao. And kung bibigyan ako ng chance siguro hindi pa ngayon kasi gusto kong ingatan 'yung kung anong meron kami ngayon bilang close na magkaibigan," he said. 

"May ganun tito eh. 'Pag nakita mo na siya as — first time ko kasi magkakaroon ng girl best friend if ever, parang ganun na kasi 'yung treatment ko sa kaniya," he added. 

Nevertheless, Jak shared that he had bought toys for Kylie's kids, Alas and Axl, before she flew to Australia. 

Per Jak, he was the one who insisted to buy the toys for the boys, saying, "Nakakatuwa na na-appreciate nila 'yung regalo." 

He had also given Kylie a tour of his home along with their friends during his sister Sanya Lopez's birthday.

"Sabi niya gusto lang daw makita kasi parang she's planning na rin na magpagawa ng bahay, so para may idea lang din daw siya ganiyan..." he shared

"Umikot kami dun sa bahay, na-appreciate niya na parang sabi niya, 'Wow at your age na 31 malaking achievement na to na meron ka nang bahay' and nakakatuwa, nakakaproud." 

Previously, their "My Father's Wife" co-star Gabby Concepcion teased Jak and Kylie about developing feelings while doing a series, and also joked about their ship name, JakLie or KyJak. 

Kylie, however, told GMA Integrated News that she and Jak are just very close and comfortable with each other. 

Jak and Kylie currently star in "My Father's Wife" alongside Gabby and Kazel Kinouchi. 

The series is set to air its finale episode on Saturday, October 11, at 2:30 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
