Ashley Ortega to guest star in 'Sanggang Dikit FR'

Ashley Ortega is set to join the cast of "Sanggang Dikit FR" starring Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo!

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Monday, the Sparkle star and former "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" housemate will play the role of a beauty pageant contestant.

Her scene in the series includes doing a catwalk in a swimsuit, which she admitted made her feel nervous. 

However, Ashley will do the scene alongside Jennylyn and co-star Katrina Halili, who were instrumental in boosting her confidence. 

"Si ate Jennylyn, first time ko siya maka-work and I'm so happy na finally naka-trabaho ko rin siya. Sobrang bait, ang bait nila, actually kahit si ate Katrina, ang bait nilang dalawa, tawa lang nang tawa," she shared.  

Ashley is also set to star in the upcoming Kapuso drama series "Apoy sa Dugo" alongside Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio, and Thea Tolentino. 

The actress expressed her excitement for the show, noting that its story delves into a topic that is not often discussed. 

"I'm so excited for our show kasi it's a story na hindi pa masyadong nata-tackle lagi, so I'm happy na it's their point of view already. It's about mental illness kasi psychological siya," she said

"Sanggang Dikit FR" airs Mondays to Fridays at 8:55 p.m. on GMA Prime.
