Conan O’Brien on Filipinos during his PH visit: ‘So gracious, so polite’
Conan O’Brien has nothing but kind words for Filipinos during his visit to the Philippines.
According to Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras” Friday, the American host is staying in the country for a week.
“We’ve known for a while that we have a fanbase in the Philippines and we just see so much social activity here and response and so we thought, 'We need to go. We need to visit.' And we want to do one of our shows here," he said.
"From the moment we landed, everybody has been so gracious, so polite. They’re funny. And that doesn’t happen in every country. The people, the Philippines are very funny and warmhearted."

Per Conan, those he met have great ideas and are quick with them.
“I wanna come back. Yeah. I definitely want to come back if you’ll have me. Sometimes, I go to a country, and I try to come back, and they go, ‘No,’” he quipped.
Conan also met Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado for a “Sanggang Dikit” scene.
“This was incredible. They sent us the script, very good writing. Loved it. They seem to understand that I’m a silly fool. They made me a madman. They beat me up,” he said. “The actors are so good and they made me welcome here.”
The Kapuso stars, for their part, could not believe that they got to work with Conan.
“Saya, grabe. Parang panaginip, parang hindi ako makapaniwala na nag-guest siya dito at ito pang ‘Sanggang Dikit’ ‘yung show na napili niya sa lahat ng mga shows dito sa Pilipinas kaya thank you, Conan. It’s an honor,” Dennis said.
“Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na siyempre parte kami ng pinunta dito ni Conan sa Pilipinas,” Jennylyn said.
Conan is in the Philippines to shoot his travel show, “Conan O'Brien Must Go,” which is on its second season on HBO Max. It is a spin-off of his podcast "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend.” The TV series began airing in 2024.
He already went around, met some fans, and gave Michael V. a video greeting.
Conan is best known for hosting the late-night talk shows “Late Night with Conan O'Brien” and “The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.”
The comedian and late-night host previously took the stage as the host of the 2025 Oscars. He’s set to return as a host for the 2026 Oscars.
