Emma Tiglao uses Miss Grand International stage to speak up about corruption, other issues in PH

Emma Tiglao spoke out against corruption in the Philippines and other pressing issues during her Miss Grand International 2025 Top 10 speech.

The Filipina beauty queen said that as a journalist, her heart aches for her country, which is “drowned by corruption,” as well as for the lives taken by earthquakes, typhoons. She also mourned her fellow journalists in Gaza who had been killed.

“We are not born in fear, but to hope, to love, and to live in peace. Peace begins when parents teach children with compassion, leaders embody humility, youth find their purpose, and when we live with empathy and kindness,” Emma said.

She ended her speech by saying, “Let love be the grandest voice to peace.”

Emma won the Miss Grand Philippines 2025 crown in August.

She is vying for the country’s second golden crown after CJ Opiaza. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
