Sofia Pablo, Joaquin Arce revealed as first Kapuso, Kapamilya housemates

The first two housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" have been revealed!

On "24 Oras," Tuesday, Sofia Pablo was announced as the first Kapuso housemate, while Joaquin Arce was introduced as the first Kapamilya housemate.

With the moniker "Ang Strong-Willed Sunshine ng Quezon City," Sofia began her showbiz career in 2016. She starred in several Kapuso series such as "Prima Donnas," "Luv Is: Caught in His Arms," and "Prinsesa ng City Jail."

She is set to star with Allen Ansay in the upcoming horror film "Huwag Kang Titingin."

Meanwhile, Joaquin, dubbed as "Ang Rising Dreamer ng Muntinlupa," is a Star Magic newcomer and the son of Filipino film producer Neil Arce, who is married to actress Angel Locsin.

Before entering Bahay ni Kuya, Joaquin appeared in the mini-series "Tropang G.O.A.T."

In the interview with Nelson Canlas, Joaquin shared that joining "Pinoy Big Brother" has long been a dream of his.

"I'm a fan of the show, so I watched last season. I'm a huge fan of PBB as a show. So, I decided, why not give it a try?" he said.

He also talked about how he prepared before entering the house.

"I hung out with as much friends as possible. Of course, keeping quiet. But for me, in my mind, oh, I'm not going to see them for a while. Parang kailangan ko na mag-hang out sa family ko, sa mom ko, sa dad ko," he said.

Joaquin has also started packing his things.

"I'm big on toiletry... May dalawa akong toothpaste. Usually, pang four months 'yung isang tube ng toothpaste. Pero may dalawa akong tube, just in case, you know, if I wanna share," he said.

Meanwhile, Sofia said joining the show is her way of showing a more personal side of herself.

"This is something big for me kasi I was always a victim of misconceptions, of fake news. And I feel like the people know me for my work, sa mga memes ko. I want them to know me for who I really am," she said.

Spending the holidays inside the PBB house will also be a first for Sofia.

"I think I can never be ready for that kasi, again, sa buong buhay ko, I never spent Christmas or New Year away from my mom. Kasi dalawa lang kami. And even si mommy, like, she was crying. If I'm not there, she's going to be alone. But then again, inisip namin na one Christmas, one New Year, kapalit na puwedeng ma-appreciate ka na ng tao for who you really are. So, sugal talaga," she said.

Sofia also acknowledged the comments that say she's a favorite talent.

"I don't want to call it favorite. I want to call it loved. Kumbaga, hindi ako paborito. Mahal lang ako kasi nga mabuti akong tao. Kaya ko talaga sabihin 'yun. If you're watching, I hope, manood kayo na PBB 2.0. Promise, papangitiin ko kayo," she said.
