'Lakambini' starring Lovi Poe, Rocco Nacino to be released in November
"Lakambini," which stars Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino, is set to be released in November.
According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," the docu-film will center on the life story of Gregoria de Jesus, the wife of Andres Bonifacio, who is played by Lovi.
Rocco, who portrays Bonifacio, said working on the project gave him a deeper appreciation for the meaning of heroism and the role of women in history.
"Very surreal. Tapos nakaka-realize lang din kung paano talaga magmahal ng bansa, kung paano maging heroic in your own way. Pero dito sa pelikula na 'to, ipinapakita 'yung lakas ng babae din eh, na noon pa kayang-kaya ng mga babae maging patas sa mga lalaki," he said.
"Lakambini" also stars Gina Pareño and Elora Españo, who also play De Jesus in different periods of her life.
Meanwhile, Rocco currently appears in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" as Aquil.
The actor said he will have another project soon.
"Makikita ako ng mga Kapuso natin sa telebisyon ulit. Ayun, after ng stint ko sa 'Mommy Dearest' at sa 'Sang'gre,' makikita niyo ulit ako sa TV," he said. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News
