After 'Stars on the Floor' win, Dasuri Choi thanks Rodjun Cruz for his 'guidance, respect, and heart'

After 'Stars on the Floor' win, Dasuri Choi thanks Rodjun Cruz for his 'guidance, respect, and heart'

Dasuri Choi wrote the most touching tribute for her “Stars on the Floor” partner and fellow grand champion, Rodjun Cruz.

In a video on her social media pages, the Korean entertainer shared clips of her rehearsals with Rodjun. They practiced lifts and carrying for the choreography.

In her caption, Dasuri said she “was never the type who felt comfortable dancing with a partner.”

Having grown up surrounded by girls, Dasuri added that she is not used to liftings, touching, and trusting someone to hold her mid-air.

Dasuri also admitted that she was scared "of heights, scared of falling, scared of letting go."

She then thanked Rodjun for understanding her.

“You never rushed me. You never made me feel small for being afraid. You simply guided me one step, one lift, one smile at a time,” she said.

Dasuri added, “You made me believe that ‘safe' and ‘strong’ can exist together. That trust can turn fear into flight. And that partnership is not about who leads or follows. It’s about how two hearts move as one in rhythm and respect.”

Through their failed lifts and other attempts, Dasuri said they “found rhythm, patience, and laughter."

“You never complained, not even once. Even when I asked you to lift me again and again until I got it right," she added. “You always brought light, positivity, and good energy, even when we were tired and bruised.”

Aside from their time on the dance floor, Dasuri said Rodjun reminded her about faith.

“You showed me how to bring God into everything we do. How to pray before we move, and to trust that there’s always a purpose behind every fall and every rise,” she said. “In your quiet way, you guided me closer to Him. And it truly helped me not just as a dancer, but as a person.”

What made their “Stars on the Floor” journey more meaningful would be where they are in life, Dasuri said.

“At a time when most people our age are already settled, raising families, and moving on from the stage, we still chose to challenge ourselves to learn, to grow, and to dance like it’s our last chance to tell our story,” she said.

“Because passion doesn’t fade with age. It only deepens with time, experience, and purpose.”

That said, their time on the show was more than just about dancing.

“It was about trust, growth, faith, courage, and finding strength in partnership,” she said.

To end her message, Dasuri thanked Rodjun “for your guidance, respect, and heart.”

“You reminded me that with faith in God and the right people beside you, nothing is too heavy to lift,” she said.

Rodjun saw the tribute on Instagram and thanked Dasuri for the trust and for being his partner.

“Ikaw talaga ang the best! Napakahusay mo palagi. Grabe hard work, discipline, dedication at puso mo!” Rodjun said.

He added that Dasuri deserves to be the grand champion.

“Kahit super galing mo na at iba ang level mo sobrang humble mo! Wow!” he said.

Rodjun added, “Grabe ang ‘SOTF’ journey natin. Super thankful kay Lord dahil never niya tayong pinabayaan. Ang daming challenges pero we conquered it together! We did it partner!”

The actor said that he is proud of Dasuri.

“Unstoppable tayo together! I got you, you got me! To God be the glory!”

“Stars on the Floor” brought together personalities from entertainment and the digital world to pair up for a dance collaboration competition. It was hosted by Alden Richards, with Marian Rivera, Pokwang, and Coach Jay Roncesvalles as judges.

Directed by Miggy Tanchanco, Paolo Valenciano, and Johnny Manahan, the show premiered on GMA Network on June 28.
