Ogie Alcasid mourns Davey Langit: 'Nakakalungkot at nakakabigla'

Ogie Alcasid is among the many who are mourning Davey Langit, whose death was announced on Wednesday.

The OPM icon posted an Instagram video of Davey, his "inaanak," receiving an Oklahoma City Thunder jersey from him, dancing and cheering out of excitement.

In his caption, Ogie said, “Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala.”

“Marami kami na nagmamahal sa ‘yo at humahanga sa galing mo sa pag sulat at pag awit. Higit sa lahat sa napakabuti mong puso” he added.

Ogie shared that he and Davey exchanged texts just weeks ago.

“Nakakalungkot at nakakabigla,” he said.

Ogie expressed his sympathies for Davey’s wife Therese and his loved ones.

“Rest in peace inaanak. Sing with the angels,” the “It’s Showtime” host said.

Davey is the singer of “Selfie Song,” “Wedding Song,” and “Idjay.”

The cause of Davey's death was not revealed, but previous posts showed he endured a rare spinal infection called spondylodiscitis around his thoracic 8 vertebrae, and was diagnosed just last August.
