Heath Jornales, Krystal Mejes join 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0’
Another pair of housemates is joining the “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0!”
According to Nelson Canlas' report on “24 Oras," Thursday, Sparkle star Heath Jornales and Star Magic young actress Krystal Mejes are the latest housemates to join the upcoming season.
They were introduced with the monikers “Ang Fighting Prince ng Taguig" and “Ang Wishful Waray ng Samar” respectively.
Heath started his career with GMA Network in 2020. He appeared in the Kapuso series “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre,” “Mga Batang Riles,” and “Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila.”

Meanwhile, Krystal is known for her role in the Kapamilya series “Doble Kara.” She most recently appeared in “Tropang G.O.A.T.” with fellow upcoming "PBB" housemate Joaquin Arce.
In her interview with Nelson Canlas, Krystal admitted that deciding to open up her life to the public was not easy.
“That was actually kind of my dilemma, honestly. ‘Cause I’m a very private person and I value privacy, but then, sabi ko kasi, you know, maybe it’s one way of God nudging me to tell my story. Maybe it could inspire other people,” she said.
Still, she felt at peace with her decision.
“I just felt ready. ‘Di ba, sinasabi nila, before any audition kinakabahan ka and everything. But me, I felt excitement. I felt peace. If something is for me, someone is for me, I would always ask God to give me peace. And at that time, I felt nothing but peace and excitement, so I knew that this was for me.”
For Krystal, being a Waray gives her an advantage inside the house.
“Kasi ang mga Waray, matatapang. Hindi sila madaling matinag,” she said.
When asked if she’s ready for the drama inside, Krystal said, “Definitely ready, but I wouldn’t be the one starting it. Or I wouldn’t really be interfering with it. Whatever happens, happens. And I will just always try my best to do everything and to show up with grace.”
Heath, meanwhile, said joining "PBB" is his way of showing who he truly is.
“Kasi po dumating po ‘yung opportunity and I had to take it na po kasi ito na po ‘yung chance para makilala po ako and makita po ng tao kung sino po talaga ako,” he said. “Gusto ko pong mapakilala sa tao ‘yung Heath na helpful, athletic, kind, caring na action star.”
When it comes to drama, Heath shared he is prepared but noted that he prefers to keep the peace.
“I’m gonna be ready for that po pero hindi naman po ako ma-drama or like mahahalo sa controversies doon sa loob. I’m gonna be more maybe like a peacemaker po.”
According to the young actor, he is also ready for the household responsibilities inside Bahay ni Kuya.
“Pina-practice ko na nga sa bahay bago pumunta dito eh. My mom was teaching me how to cook adobo. Para do’n sa loob, I’m gonna try to cook adobo. Tapos cleaning the house, my mom was helping me and teaching me how to sweep properly. Kasi ‘yung pag-sweep ko daw, parang pangit daw ‘yung form ko. So kailangan kong matutunan ‘yung proper form,” he said.
Heath and Krystal will join Princess Aliyah, Miguel Vergara, Sofia Pablo, and Joaquin in the list of housemates who have been revealed so far.
“Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" will start airing on Saturday, October 25. The second season will feature a group of Gen Z celebrities from Sparkle and Star Magic.
