Conan O'Brien makes appearance on 'Sanggang-Dikit FR' as power-hungry foreigner

Conan O'Brien has made his appearance on "Sanggang-Dikit FR," which stars Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo.

On Wednesday's episode, Dennis and Jennylyn's characters, Tonyo and Bobby, were on their way to work when they came across a commotion: a man crying for help after his necklace, a medallion, was snatched.

The thief handed it to his boss, who later gave it to a foreigner played by Conan.

Believing the medallion would make him invincible, Conan's character wore it and laughed triumphantly, saying, "World domination, here I come!"

Tonyo and Bobby soon confronted Conan's bodyguard, played by Mustafa, and took him down before facing the foreigner himself.

Confident that he couldn't be hurt, Conan taunted them, but the pair managed to defeat him and put him under arrest.

"You're under arrest," Jennylyn's character told him.

"For real?" Conan replied.

"For real," Tonyo and Bobby said in unison.

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Conan shared his excitement about working with stuntman Mustafa.

"One of the reasons I wanted to do this show was to unveil the next action hero. He's from the Philippines. Mustafa. He's going to be bigger than Vin Diesel, bigger than The Rock, bigger than all of them. He is charismatic. He's strong. He's a great fighter. And he did some action scenes for me today in this show. Nailed it," Conan said.

"It's an honor to be part of this. Really empowered that I am gonna do something great," Mustafa said.

Conan visited the Philippines to shoot his travel show, "Conan O'Brien Must Go," which is on its second season on HBO Max. It is a spin-off of his podcast "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend." The TV series began airing in 2024.

He went around, met some fans, and gave Michael V. a video greeting.

Conan is best known for hosting the late-night talk shows "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien."

The comedian and late-night host previously took the stage as the host of the 2025 Oscars. He's set to return as a host for the 2026 Oscars.

Meanwhile, "Sanggang-Dikit FR" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8:55 p.m. after "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre." You can also watch it on YouTube via the Kapuso Stream. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News
